One of the great new features of the Winter ’12 release is the Developer Console. I’ve written about the Console earlier and also briefly demoed it during the Winter ’12 Preview Webinar a couple of weeks back, but I feel that neither of them did justice to the new Console. So here is a short video that demos how you can set ‘breakpoints’ in the Developer Console to debug errors and also edit/create Apex Classes and Triggers via the Console.

A quick note on the Heap Dump (aka ‘breakpoint’) feature demoed in the video. That feature of the Developer Console is currently only enabled in Sandbox Orgs. It will be made available in Production and Developer Edition Orgs over the next couple of weeks.

p.s. Make sure to watch the video in 720p HD resolution.
