Force.com Community A big focus in the Dreamforce Developer Zone this year was on the power of community. We had community speakers who submitted ideas via our Call for Papers, community leaders who put together sessions on the fly in the Unconference, and two awesome Developer User Group leaders (Ami Assayag and Andy Boettcher) who led sessions directly talking about the local developer community experience they’ve been building in their cities. I’ve heard from many speakers and attendees that it was overwhelming to see the community get so excited and involved. For me, that moment came when I was standing in the back of the room during the Developer Keynote, feeling the energy of the crowd and the excitement. It really is true that developers are the new kingmakers, and I’m excited to see the great things you all do on the Salesforce Platform.

Over the past few months I’ve been able to connect with our Developer User Group leaders and work with others on getting new groups set up. We’re now up to 41 groups and that number is rapidly growing. Check out the map of where groups are across the globe. Connect with a group in your area; as a member, speaker, or resource provider – all are welcome! If there’s not a group in your area, please get in touch and I’d love to get you started with one. The Salesforce Platform Developer Community is growing, and these groups are the best way to be a part of it.
