The README.txt on the Developer Experience at Dreamforce 2011

DREAMFORCE2010

As a Force.com developer, if there is one event NOT to miss, it would be Dreamforce, our annual user and developer conference.  Taking place in beautiful San Francisco from August 30 through Sept 2, this year we project to have over 35,000 people in attendance.  For those that are keeping score, there’s going to be 50% more humans than last year!

The most important reason to attend is to hear and learn about all the new awesome technologies we’ll be announcing.  Since I’m privy to our future roadmap, I would say right now that awesome would be an understatement. … Continue reading

The challenge was open-ended, which resulted in a wide variety of submissions. Some chose to redo their company website on the Force.com platform, while others tried their hands at implementing travel reservation systems, e-commerce solutions, survey sites, and even a game—British bingo anyone?

Here are the top three submissions:

More than a few reasons to check out the Winter ’09 Release Preview

09_winter_force_rgb_smaller_3

This week we launched our Winter ’09 Release Preview, and we created a Winter ’09 wiki page just for developers.

On the wiki page, we highlight 4 features that we think all developers should be aware of.  In no particular order, they are:- Force.com IDE is now GA- Packaging now supports Visualforce- The new Dynamic Apex offers more flexible programming – New Developer Edition accounts get more features and licenses

In addition to the above, there are so many new other cool features that should also delight the palate.  Some of my favorites in the Winter ’09 Release Preview include:- support for… Continue reading
